Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
First-rate autographs, memory-provoking images and colourful felt combine here for an awesome group of signed displays. Hall-of-Famers featured are Charlie Rayner (cut), Roy Conacher (index card) and Clarence Campbell (large cut dated "Apr 26/78"), with Roger Crozier (McCarthy postcard) also in the hockey heavens. Gordie Howe ("Hi Robert"), Marcel Dionne, Bobby Clarke, Brad Park, the Leafs' Mahovlich and Kelly and the Rangers' GAG Line of Ratelle, Gilbert and Hadfield are other HOFers, with Paul Henderson, Derek Sanderson, Zdeno Chara and Roberto Luongo completing. Further details on our website. Loads of eye-candy here! Rayner’s cut is penned in bold green ink, with Campbell’s cut sprawling over five inches and a vintage Camels cigarette ad from The Saturday Evening Post (Jan. 6, 1940) accompanying Conacher’s 3 x 5. The Howe, Dionne, Park, Luongo and Henderson displays are the largest at 11” by 14”, with the 1972 Canada-Russia Series’ star autographing a first day postal cover that includes a blurred image of Paul scoring the Game 8 winner. A fantastic photo of Luongo waving a huge Canadian flag after Canada’s gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics is a swell conclusion to this fine ensemble.
