Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Exquisite and shocking is this autograph display featuring a large, flowing and dazzling fountain pen signature of Lester Patrick, head of hockey's so-called Royal Family. A long-time star defenceman, Lester is depicted in his days with the Montreal Wanderers, a team he led to the Stanley Cup in 1906 and 1907, while a splendid reproduction Wanderers crest also joins the big cut (2-1/4" x 4-3/4") on red felt. With a white backing and an overall size of 11" by 14", this is one you'll have trouble taking your eyes off of. Please note that the autograph is not pasted onto the felt but rather cleverly mounted using clear corner "triangles". "W" could also stand for "winner" here!
