Two more of the new expansion teams also made their NHL debut on October 11, 1968, as the St. Louis Blues hosted the Minnesota North Stars at the Arena in St. Louis. The Blues had assembled a lineup of veteran players, anchored by former Black Hawks goalie Glenn Hall, who would lead the team to the Stanley Cup Finals in their first three seasons; while the North Stars featured a younger mix of cast-offs, minor leaguers and rookies. The two teams battled to a 2-2 tie, with the ill-fated Bill Masterton scoring the first ever Minnesota goal, and Larry Keenan doing the same for the Blues. This was the first NHL game in St. Louis since the long forgotten Eagles played a single season in the League way back in 1934-35. The offered program is complete and in crisp EX+ condition, with very light signs of handling wear.
