Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
A somewhat crude and "different" ancient one-piece stick here is light and not made of Ash or Elm but of a soft wood. Neatly-curved blade shows considerable use, while old black tape covers part of the upper shaft. Crack-free and still solid, the approximately 48" piece is accompanied by a classic old (circa-1940s) leather helmet with a "DR" (Daignault Rolland) label sewn in the interior and a pair of leather and felt shin pads measuring 20" from top to bottom. Also in nice used shape, with one including a tag revealing they were made by Grant-Holden-Graham. Cool tools of trade will contribute to a nifty vintage hockey equipment display.
