Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Ultra-intriguing to hold and check out while contemplating our sport's formative years is this well-made, solid 19th century stick. Small dents and black marks on the rounded blade contribute to the intrigue, as does the darker upper shaft, suggesting tape once having been there. The four edges of the upper two-thirds of the shaft were planed, making the piece more comfortable to hold - ingenious. Varnished several decades ago, the approximately 40-inch relic is crack-free and is made of relatively heavy hard wood. It's a wonderful display piece that you'll want to take down and let your friends and colleagues hold and marvel over!
