Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Wondrous images of what would become considered hockey's mecca date to the late-1920s and a time when the likes of Morenz, Joliat and Hainsworth were starring for the Montreal Canadiens while the Maroons iced their famous "S" line of Siebert, Stewart and Smith. The eyes of the beholder cannot stop going from one image to the other, both of them seldom-seen affairs and truly riveting and thought-provoking. The grandiose of the exterior of the building in its early years and that ice surface where the aforementioned Hall-of-Famers forged part of their legend - incredibly special and inspiring. Showing images are approximately 7" by 9" with the vintage wood frame, (chipped along the right edge), bringing things to 14" by 26-1/2" - superb!
