Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
An amazing array of star players, lured to the mining town of Renfrew, Ontario for the 1909-10 hockey season, the National Hockey Association's inaugural campaign, star in this fabulous find. Rover and team captain Lester Patrick are smack dab in the middle and flanked by brother Frank Patrick and Cyclone Taylor, with Newsy Lalonde below Lester. Fred Whitcroft and goalie Bert Lindsay, father of Ted, are also notable, while above Frank Patrick is Hall of Fame "builder" John Ambrose O'Brien, the same man who started the Montreal Canadiens that same season! Approximately 3-1/4" by 5-1/2", postmarked March 28, 1910 and with no unsightly creases/flaws, this treasure will have you gawking and marvelling!
