From Sidney Crosby's Olympic debut, this photo-matched Team Canada 2010 Olympics
game-worn jersey began Sid the Kid's journey in Vancouver that ultimately led to his golden goal for the ages. Fresh from leading the Pittsburgh Penguins to the Stanley Cup in the spring of 2009, Crosby delivered stellar play for his country throughout the 2010 Olympics and ultimately lifted Canada to the international summit with his unforgettable overtime winner on the United States' Ryan Miller in the gold medal final. Sid wore this spectacular #87 jersey when he played the first Olympic game of his career on February 16, 2010. He recorded three assists in an 8-0 win over Norway in Canada's first game of the tournament at Canada Hockey Place.
This awesome single-use Team Canada Olympic game-worn jersey is matched to action photos of Crosby from the game that show the loose white threads on the white and black double twill "7" sewn on the right sleeve and the gray mark on the elaborately detailed Canada crest sewn on the front. IIHF tagging is sewn in the neck below the Nike size 60 stamp. The Vancouver 2010 Olympic patch is sewn on the left sleeve and a Hockey Canada patch is sewn inside the jersey behind the crest on the front. The Nike bar code is screened inside the left rear tail. More game wear includes a mark on the upper back to the right of the nameplate, a mark on the white stripe to the right of the Canadian Olympic Committee patch sewn on the right rear tail, small spots of red and blue paint transfer on the lower white stripe on the right sleeve, faint marks on the left sleeve and a small mark above the crest on the front. Comes with a Team Canada LOA signed by Hockey Canada president Bob Nicholson, a MeiGray certificate of registration, and an additional LOA. Please note that this item may be subject to a silent reserve.
