The Habs’ blue, blanc et rouge has never looked livelier than it does on these five folk art painted wood statues of Montreal Canadiens greats Maurice and Henri Richard, Jean Beliveau, Bernie “Boom Boom” Geoffrion, Yvan Cournoyer and Guy Lafleur. Beliveau, Lafleur, Cournoyer and Henri Richard have each signed in bold silver paint pen on the top of their respective black puck-style bases, which display the respective legends’ names and their retired jersey numbers. Big Jean’s and Roadrunners statues stands tallest at about 10 1/2" overall, with the late Boomer’s just under 10” tall and the Rocket, Pocket Rocket and Lafleur statues all in the 9” range. The diameter of the bases range from 4 1/4" on the Geoffrion up to Lafleur’s which measures about 5 1/4" at its widest. Artist Raymond Malboeuf’s paper labels are affixed to the bottom of each base. These famous poses come to life here with vibrant colors that make for a fantastic Habs display. Imagine all the immortal line combinations you can put together!
