Fantastic lot of seven vintage Montreal Canadiens Molson’s 8x10 team photos ranges from 1953-65 and includes three Stanley Cup champions. Lord Stanley’s prized silver chalice sits on the ice between Irvin and Selke in the black and white “Canadiens Champions 1953” team photo featuring the likes of Plante, Rocket Richard, Lach, Olmstead and Geoffrion in the front row, with fellow HOFers Moore, Harvey, Bouchard and Johnson grouped behind them. Also from the 1950s are “Les Canadiens 1954” in color and “Les Canadiens 1955-56” with captain Bouchard in the middle of the front row for the team that began the Habs’ record run of five straight Cups. A run of four straight from the early 1960s features 1961-62 with the Prince of Wales at Plante’s feet in the middle of the front row through to 1964-65, with four NHL awards on the ice in front of the team that would go on to launch the Quiet Dynasty of the late-1960s with a seven-game win over Chicago in the 1965 Cup final. The 1962-63 and 1963-64 team pictures are slightly smaller at about 7x10. All of these original Canadiens Molson’s team pictures exhibit handling with some creasing, mostly on the 1961-62 photo, though they are all nice and clean and ready for framing and suitable display in a Habs shrine.
