Fantastic items here that even long-time Bobby Orr collectors may not have had a chance at in the past are full of highlights, with a Thursday, February 16, 1967 Boston at Montreal autographed program leading the way. Bobby’s inverted autograph appears on the cover, at the tip of Gerry Cheevers’ crease, and is joined by similar bold blue ballpoint sigs of teammates Gilles Marotte, Pit Martin, Jim Watson, Ron Schock and Tom Williams. A little lower right corner tear in the cover and light soiling to mention with the 56-page VG program, along with the fact that Bobby was named second star of the game! Bobby was starring in junior with Oshawa when his Generals met the Montreal Jr. Canadiens at the Forum in late March of 1966, a four-page OHA semi-final program from the game also showing moderate handling/wear with a couple of edge tears. Three dandy vintage photographs include a Bruins first-year media “side-by-side” job picturing him wearing #27, (creased with missing corner), a UPI shot of Bobby and Johnny McKenzie prior to the 1970 NHL All-Star Game and a wire photo with Orr drinking out of a “51” Dixie cup after setting the record for most assists by a d-man (51) in a single season, a record set in mid-January of 1970. Terrific images!
