The New York Rangers won the Stanley Cup in 1933, their second in just seven seasons of existence! Lester Patrick is seated in the front row of this exquisite 7 1/2" x 9x1/2" team photo of the 1932-33 Cup champion Rangers, surrounded by fellow HOFers Frank Boucher, Ching Johnson, Earl Seibert, Babe Siebert and the Cook brothers, Bill and Bun. This beautifully-preserved Rangers Stanley Cup team photo is displayed recessed on a light gray matte within a dark grey matte, mounted in a 13 1/2" x 15 1/2" wood frame which has a few cracks on the edges. The frame is missing a piece of the outer edge on the top right side and it has a crack on the bottom left edge. There is a small circular imprint on the photo at the top of the “G” on Boucher’s chest, second from the right in the front row. It is only apparent when viewed at an angle and does not diminish this incredible Rangers team photo’s display. The photo appears to have been taken at Maple Leaf Gardens, as per “Wood Street” on the brick wall in the background. A cutout on the reverse displays the “Nelson Hitchinson, Commercial Photographer, 45 Richmond St. East, Toronto” stamp on the back of the light gray matte.
