Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Loads of intrigue with this likely unique team-signed Rangers piece, the scarce signature of team president General John Reed Kilpatrick among the highlights. The autograph of Kilpatrick, a Hall of Fame "builder" elected in 1960, the same year as his death, appears inverted in the lower portion of the program's last page. Also penning bold blue ballpoint sigs to the Madison Square Garden diagram were HOFers Frank Boucher, Max Bentley, Edgar Laprade and Harry Howell, with rookie Johnny Bower autographing his bio page. Please visit our website for more details on this fascinating publication. G condition program, (tape repair on the interior covers along the spine), is for a Sunday, January 10, 1954 Maple Leafs vs. Rangers game and is loaded with interesting articles, along with individual player photos and lengthy player write-ups, for when you’re finished admiring the autographs! A full-page team photo is also included. As for the not yet mentioned signatures, they include Muzz Patrick, Camille Henry, Dean Prentice, “Bones” Raleigh, Leo Reise, Hy Buller, Paul Ronty, Wally Hergesheimer, Nick Mickoski, Bob Chrystal, Ed Kullman, Ivan Irwin, Jack Evans, Aldo Guidolin, Glen Sonmor, trainer Frank Paice and five others, possibly executives or other team officials. Like we said at the top, likely a one-of-a-kind, it will fabulously enhance an autograph/Rangers shrine. This program originated from the Bentley family.
