Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Luc Robitaille took less money to sign a two-year, $9-million contract with Detroit beginning with the 2001-02 season and it was a win-win for both parties as Lucky Luke and the Red Wings brought the Stanley Cup to Hockeytown for the third time in six years that spring. Robitaille's 2001-02 Red Wings game-worn jersey is photo-matched by the distinct black marks on the back of the left shoulder which show in a signed 8x10 action shot of Luc wearing this jersey. Made in Canada and size 54 flag tags sit in the back of the neck which has a "1" heat-screened in red in the outline of the CCM patch sewn on the back. Solid game wear includes black marks on the front and rear tails and sleeves, which have eight team repairs. There are six team repairs on the left sleeve, including one high on the front just to the right of the white front, and two more sewing fixes on the right sleeve.
Comes with a HockeyTown Authentics LOA. A team store tag is attached by a plastic tie to the Made in Canada flag tag.
Robitaille placed a big bold blue marker autograph on the 8x10 action photo which has a James Spence Authentication sticker applied to the bottom left corner.
