The Detroit Olympia may be long gone though memories of the great Motor City arena and all of the amazing Red Wings exploits and championships there live on in this nice big stack of 22 vintage NHL game programs. Half of them date from 1939 through the World War II up to the Red Wings' third Stanley Cup win in 1943. There are three more from the late-1940s up to Detroit's Stanley Cup dynasty of the 1950s, with six from the 1951-52 championship season, including a program from one of Terry Sawchuk's two shutout wins to open the Wings' semi-final against Toronto. All appear to be complete and nicely preserved overall, some with handwritten scoring notations and dates written on the back covers. 1939-40 (3): November 23, 1939 N.Y.
