Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Originally gifted by HOFer Bill Wirtz, this spectacular 1960s Chicago Black Hawks jacket has a great provenance story. Featuring an awesome embroidered team crest patch sewn on the left breast and spectacular crossed tomahawks patches with cable stitching on the shoulders, this red wool beauty with obviously proud wear on the black leather sleeves was given by the late Black Hawks owner in the 1960s to a guest aboard the "Blackhawk", the Wirtz family yacht. The size 44 flag tag in the neck and Butwin, Gunzo's and GluvElf Dry Cleanable Leather tagging sewn onto the lining inside the left front are all original to beauty which has been preserved in great condition with a few light black stains, mostly on the right front, just below the shoulder seam.
