Glorious signed framed photo is a portrait of Dick Irvin from his first season behind the bench. A Hall of Fame player in his own right, Irvin began his legendary coaching career with the Chicago Black Hawks, guiding the 1930-31 Black Hawks to a 24-17-3 mark and playoff series wins over Toronto and the N.Y. Rangers before falling to Howie Morenz's Habs, 3-2, in the Stanley Cup final. Irvin dated his signature, Dec. 7/30, in black fountain pen ink in the bottom right corner of this amazing framed 8x10 original. Irvin went on to win four Stanley Cups with the Maple Leafs and Canadiens. The full autograph reads: “Sincerely Yours, Dick Irvin, (Chicago Black Hawks), Dec 7/30”. Magnificently preserved original portrait photo by “Morrison, Chicago” is held in place by four clear plastic corners and displayed recessed in a light brown matte backing within the beige matte mounted in this 14 5/8” x 13 1/4" wood frame.
