Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013

Howie Morenz is featured in this amazing framed team photo of the 1935-36 Chicago Black Hawks. The Stratford Streak is pictured third from the right in this spectacular original shot of the Black Hawks lined up along the boards. Morenz and fellow HOFer Art Coulter would be shipped to the Rangers in separate deals later in the season. Wonderful look at the Hawks' line-up and dazzling uniforms at the outset of Morenz's second and final season in the Windy City, this scarce photo was most likely issued to Hawks players and executives. Original print measures about 10” x 13 1/2", beautifully preserved with creases that do not diminish its historic display. Lined up from left to right are coach Clem Loughlin, trainer Ed Froelich, Chabot, Locking, Coulter, Gottselig, Thompson, Trudel, Wiebe, Romnes, Levinsky, Karakas, Ouellette, McFayden, Burke, Morenz, Cook and March. The photo is mounted with four clear plastic corners holding it in place, recessed in a beige matte and mounted in a 16 1/4" x 19 1/2" black wood frame.
