Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013

The Maple Leafs' storybook playoff run of 1964 ended happily the night the original owner purchased this tempting program, with Toronto tying a club record with its third straight Stanley Cup championship, thanks to a 4-0 win over Detroit in the first Finals Game 7 since 1955. Saturday, April 25th was the date, two nights after Bob Baun's heroic overtime goal on a broken leg, with Andy Bathgate's first period goal standing up as the Cup-winner and Keon, Kelly and Armstrong adding third period markers as Baun never missed a shift and Bower posted the shutout. Toronto had ousted Montreal in the semis, also in seven games. EX 68-page program is free of unsightly flaws and is a must for big-time Leaf/program enthusiasts.
