Magnificent 1962-63 Toronto Maple Leafs Stanley Cup Champions 10-karat gold ring is a rare opportunity indeed. This beauty, which weighs about 17 grams, was given to players and executives to commemorate the Leafs' second straight Stanley Cup win in the spring of 1963, though its recipient is unknown. The Maple Leafs won the Prince of Wales with a 35-23-12 regular season and began their Cup defence with a 4-1 series win over Montreal in the semis. Facing Detroit in the final, Dave Keon scored a pair of shorthanded goals in Game 5 and Toronto closed out another five-game series with a 3-1 win as the Cup was presented at Maple Leaf Gardens. "Stanley Cup Champions" encircles the bezel surrounding a maple leaf in the tableau with a huge diamond set in the middle. The left shank displays the Stanley Cup with a pair of maple leaves on either side, and the right shank has two more maple leaves with "Toronto" and "63" below it. "Birks 10K" is stamped inside the size 10 band. From the height of the Maple Leafs' 1960s Stanley Cup dynasty, this wonderfully-preserved championship ring with light wear and strong details deserves a special home in a worthy Buds shrine.
