Rookie goalie Patrick Roy claimed the first of his record three Conn Smythe Trophies in leading the 1985-86 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens on a spectacular playoff run through Boston, Hartford, New York and Calgary. The names of all of the players, coaches, staff and management who contributed to the championship squad's success are etched on the barrel of this silver-plated treasure. Originally obtained from the collection of forward Lucien Deblois, this miniature Stanley Cup trophy stands a majestic 13" tall. Captain Bob Gainey, Larry Robinson and Mario Tremblay bridge the previous Habs dynasties, represented in management by Beliveau, Savard, Lemaire and Laperriere, with the team's promising future featuring young stars Chelios, Richer and Lemieux. Their names are all included here along with Naslund, Smith, Green, Walter, Ludwig, Carbonneau, Nilan, McPhee, Skrudland, Svoboda and all the other Habs who contributed to the Canadiens' 23rd Cup win. The upper bowl has cleanable tarnish. The bottom of the base has a Boffey sticker affixed to the green felt, which is perforated in the middle. The black wood base is missing some of its black paint, exposing the bare wood. The upper part of the trophy is a bit askew where it attaches to the top of the barrel.
