Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
This amazing Maurice Richard game-used stick dates from the mid- to late-1950s, when the Rocket became the charter member of hockey's elite 500-goal club. Oh yeah, and then there is Montreal's record five straight Stanley Cups from 1956-60, the last four with Richard claiming Lord Stanley's silverware first as the Canadiens' captain! "M Richard 9" is stamped on this CCM Professional game-used stick which retains Maurice's original tape jobs on the knob and blade, with the last row of tape unglued at the toe but present. An amazing display piece that exhibits nice game use in the form of black marks with a small crack on the top edge of the heel of the blade. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA. The three small stripes are missing on the lower shaft and there are some small areas of staining, mostly higher on the shaft.
