This absolutely awesome Doug Harvey rookie-era Montreal Canadiens game-used stick is team-signed by the late, great defenceman, Maurice "Rocket" Richard, Bill Durnan, and the rest of the 1948-49 Habs! The late Butch Bouchard and Ken Reardon and fellow HOFer Elmer Lach are among the 19 black ink Candiens signatures along the shaft of Harvey's game-used stick, which is also signed by the likes of Reay, Carveth, Mosdell, Chamberlain and Laycoe, among others. Solid and crack-free treasure remains in fabulous condition with the McNiece "Super Special" Hand Made and Doug's retired number "2" stamped on the shaft and his original tape jobs on the knob and blade. Comes with a letter of provenance stating that the stick was gifted by Ken Mosdell back in the day to his neighbor's polio-stricken boy. There are 23 signatures on the stick in total, including two Leo Gravelle autographs among the Canadiens autographs which include Chamberlain, Carveth, Harvey, Leger, Plamondon, Richard, Mosdell, Durnan, Lach, Laycoe, Campeau, Gravelle (1st), Riopelle, Reay, Harmon, Reardon, Gravelle (2nd), Fillion, Bouchard and Dussault. Former Canadiens player Pete Morin is one of two Montreal Royals who have signed including Frank Carlin. A signature between Harmon and Reay reads “Eve Brown”.
“Kenny Grant – Johnny Bennett, Montrea, Que” and “Patented 1934” are stamped on the front of the shaft. Game wear includes a few black marks low on the shaft.
