Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
The late, great Jacques Plante was at his peak when the Canadiens won five straight Stanley Cups from 1956-60. Jake the Snake won the Vezina Trophy in each of those five seasons. This Plante CCM Professional game-used stick from that era is the model he was using when he donned a goalie mask for the first time in December 1959. "Plante" is stamped on the shaft, which retains Jacques' original white tape knob. His black tape job on the paddle is missing though the one on the blade remains mostly in place with a few rows of black tape missing at the toe. Nicely preserved with solid game wear that includes red goal post paint transfer high on back of the shaft! Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
