Amazing piece of Montreal Canadiens history is this Guy Lafleur rookie-era game-worn jersey with the Flower's iconic number "10" on the back and both sleeves. Legendary Canadiens GM Sam Pollock craftily acquired the first overall pick in the 1971 NHL Draft and used it to select Lafleur over fellow HOFer Marcel Dionne, who went second overall to Detroit. Guy scored 29 goals in his 1971-72 rookie campaign and 28 in his sophomore season, totals that amazingly left some Canadiens fans flat as Lafleur battled through sky-high expectations of greatness projected and undeniable promise that would ultimately be spectacularly realized with six straight 50-goal seasons, five Stanley Cups, three Art Ross Trophies, two Hart Trophies and a Conn Smythe. Guy's rookie-era Canadiens tie-down jersey from 1972 has Wilson tagging in the neck. Classic durene gamer measures out to a size 52 with a multi-colored garter-style fight strap sewn inside the back. We count 16 great team repairs on this hallowed Habs cloth with two sewing fixes on the right front tail, five on the right rear tail, four on the back of the right shoulder, two on the back of the right sleeve, one on the left shoulder, and two on the left sleeve. More awesome game wear includes board burns on the right shoulder and sleeves, a solid black mark above the white and blue double twill numbers on the left sleeve, loads of browned sweat stains around the collar and interior pilling. This incredible Lafleur rookie-era Canadiens game-worn jersey is ready to find its new home in a venue that will inspire more chants of Guy! Guy! Guy!
