Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Offered are Red Wings sniper Petr Klima's first NHL goal puck plaque and his game-worn Jofa helmet from his last season in the Motor City. Petr scored on Minnesota's Don Beaupre in his NHL debut Oct. 10, 1985 in the Red Wings' season-opening 6-6 tie against the North Stars at Joe Louis Arena. Correct type of 1985-86 Red Wings puck is displayed on a silver plaque with Klima's first goal details mounted recessed in a 9x12 wood frame. Petr's distinctive white Jofa game-worn helmet has his number "85" and three "Detroit" decals. Game wear includes black marks and lots of red paint transfer. Comes with Petr Klima's signed LOA. The big Red Wings logo on the face of the puck has a chip on the top edge, which has InGlasCo Canada in raised letters.
There is one size adjustment screw missing from the right front of the helmet. The “282 SR 6 3/4-7 3/8” sticker remains on the front of the helmet above the Jofa logo.
