Glen Sather and Pat Quinn brought home the hardware long before their pro careers, as commemorated by this shiny 24" x 9 " tray celebrating the 1963 Edmonton Oil Kings Memorial Cup Championship, complete with team photo taped on reverse. Playing at Edmonton Gardens, the Oil Kings won their first Memorial Cup, defeating Niagara Falls 4 games to 2. Their coach played 43 games for the Chicago Black Hawks in 1944-45 and was given the tray engraved: "Buster Brayshaw Coach Oil Kings Memorial Cup Champions 1963 in appreciation from The City of Edmonton." The team was stacked with future pros: Ron Anderson scored the first ever WHA goal; Bert Marshall earned a Stanley Cup with Carolina as a scout; Dave Rochefort, Bob Falkenberg, and Butch Paul.
