This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
Fierce but fair rivals on the ice, Jean Beliveau and Johnny Bower are two of hockey’s greatest ambassadors as well as a pair of the game’s greatest champions. Jean won an incredible 10 Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadiens and Johnny helped the Toronto Maple Leafs bring Lord Stanley’s chalice home four times in the 1960s. From 1956 to 1969, one name or the other was engraved on the Cup 13 out of 14 seasons! Offered here is a great trio of signed items, including a pair of autographed Beliveau and Bower jerseys and a gorgeous framed 16x20 photo signed by both of these great Hall-of-Famers. Jean’s elegant penmanship is displayed in his blue marker autograph on his retired #4 on the back of this red Montreal Canadiens captain’s jersey, a size XL by Reebok. Johnny has signed vertically in black marker along with “HHOF 76” on his honored #1 on the back of his blue Maple Leafs jersey, a size XL by Reebok. Beliveau and Bower have both signed in blue marker below their respective images in this superb 20x16 modern print of an action shot from a Habs-Leafs tilt at the old Montreal Forum. It is displayed in a classic white matte and mounted in a 28” x 24” black frame. This lot comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
