Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Four out of the six glass York Peanut Butter tumblers which were believed to have been released at playoff time in 1968 are up for grabs here, led by those picturing Maple Leafs Johnny Bower and Dave Keon. No visible chips, cracks or scratches to mention, while the Tim Horton example has wear to three of the little maple leaves above the image of the referee on the back. Actually, subtle browning in the referee is visible on the Keon and Horton tumblers. Gump Worsley is the lone Canadiens representative, with fading to the Gumper’s image to note, along with wear to the fleurs-de-lys around the top. Glasses are 5-3/4” tall and joined by a near mint generic glass featuring a York uniform-wearing player and a Canadian flag. Cheers!
