Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Featuring the brilliant images of Toronto hockey heroes who would soon propel the Maple Leafs to three consecutive Stanley Cup titles, these glass tumblers originally held York Peanut Butter and continue to be some of the most highly-prized collectibles, 50 years after their arrival on supermarket shelves. With the Federal Glass Company’s “F” mark on the bottom that differentiates them from similar glasses released a year later, this group includes the smiling faces of Bower, Armstrong, Kelly, Mahovlich, Olmstead, Pulford, Brewer and Harris, with only Keon and Stanley required to complete a Leafs set. They stand approximately 4-1/2 inches high and we’re pleased to report that we cannot spot any chips, cracks, paint-fading or other notable flaws – these shockers have survived in outstanding condition and await your special Leafs/York display.
