Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Vintage hockey card wrapper aficionados will want to consider this beauty, which originally held four 1962-63 Parkhurst cards and a stick of gum. That means the original owner may have pulled one of two different Gordie Howe cards or Parkhurst’s first checklist, called the “Tally Card.” The nifty contest to win one of those 20 CCM bikes involved predicting how many goals would be scored by all the NHL teams by December 31, 1962! This baby has been flattened out for several years and has but the slightest of tears (an eighth of an inch) in the right edge, as well as light creasing and usual fold lines. Definitely worthy of a big-time wrapper ensemble.
