Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Ever-popular cloth crests were originally each obtained free in exchange for one 5-pound or three 2-pound Bee Hive Corn Syrup labels, plus one label from any of the St. Lawrence Starch Company’s starch products. This group was enjoyed by its original owner, with a pinhole near the top of each shield (two in the Leafs and Rangers). Additionally, the Red Wings crest includes a small tear along the top edge and is lightly frayed, as is the Black Hawks. Tough crests to find in any condition and splendid additions to a Bee Hive collection.
