Don’t you just love holding a card while knowing that PSA has never graded another example any higher?! That’s the case with three low population Mint 9 cards here, which highlight this captivating Parkhurst set from 1961-62. With the pop numbers in brackets, some of the finest cards on the face of the earth include the key Dave Keon rookie card (12), #22-Al Johnson (3) and 29-Marcel Pronovost (6), with 31-Terry Sawchuk one of 17 at Mint 9, with only one higher. Next is 45-Beliveau at NM-MT+ 8.5 and (18) cards, which earned NM-MT 8 status, including 2-Mahovlich, 20-Howe, 26-Ullman and 49-Plante. Others are #s 10, 12, 13, 16, 19, 24, 28, 33, 34, 37, 38, 46, 50 and 51-A. Pronovost. There’s one at NM+ 7.5 (15-Harris) and (18) at NM 7, including 1-Tim Horton. Also at NM 7 are #s 4, 7-Shack, 9-Kelly, 17-Armstrong, 18, 21, 23, 27, 30, 35-Geoffrion, 36-Moore, 39, 41, 42, 44, 47 and 48. Completing things are 25-Delvecchio at EX-MT+ 6.5, (5) at EX-MT 6; 3-Bower, 6, 8, 32, 43-Richard, one EX+ 5.5 (#40), one EX-5 (#14) and one VG-EX 4 (11-Baun). As of press time the set had a grade/rating of 7.556, ranking it 14th on the PSA Set Registry. Superb cards to hold and behold!
