Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
You’re more than halfway there to a full set of vintage 1960s CFL nodders with this lot of five bobbing head dolls, each featuring plaster bases. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Edmonton Eskimos, Ottawa Rough Riders and Saskatchewan Roughriders are represented here, with the Green Riders’ nickname erroneously spelled “Raiders” on his little green chest. D’oh! The Eskimos’ and both Riders’ nodders all have their city or province on the front of their respective bases. Please see our website description for information about the condition of the five original CFL bobbing head dolls offered here. All five nodders remain in beautiful shape overall, with only a few flaws to note. The Eskimos nodder, which comes with an original box, has a vertical crack from the bottom of the head opening in the front up through the left eye, and two hairline cracks in the back. The bottom edge of the head has a fragment chipped off. The green Riders bobbing head doll has a chipped bottom edge of its head and paint chips missing on the white lines on the helmet.
