Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Loads of intrigue and hours of entertainment are offered here, with two French guides leading the way. A 1933-34 publication with Aurele Joliat on the almost-detached cover is packed with team photos of dozens of teams, with a ‘34-35 pub also devoted to Quebec amateur hockey following the “Pro” section. The first two Sweet Caporal Guides (’39-40, ’40-41) are also in French, with a Who’s Who guide from ’36-37. More scarce are Ted Reeve’s booklet from ’35-36, a ’38-39 Major League Hockey guide and a booklet explaining hockey and picturing a trio of N.Y. Americans on the cover. A ’41-42 Ottawa Commandos yearbook pictures the likes of Reardon, Henry and the Colvilles in both hockey and army uniforms, with a Toe Blake Chex booklet completing. Average condition is VG.
