Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011

This fantastic Alex Ovechkin signed game-used stick is from the Washington Capitals superstar’s record-breaking 2007-08 season. Alexander the Gr8 lived up to his nickname as he tallied 65 times to break Luc Robitaille’s NHL single-season record for goals by a left winger. Obtained directly from Alex Ovechkin through his exclusive contract with HockeyInk, this CCM Vector gamer has an “Ovechkin 8 Authentic” holofoil affixed low on the shaft and a serial number bar code sticker on the back. Ovechkin’s black marker autograph on the front of the blade near the heel has been covered in protective cellophane wrap. “Ovi-8” stamp on the front of the shaft is faded on this gamer that displays really nice game use, including paint chipped off various parts of the shaft and marks on both sides of his distinctive white tape job on the blade, which displays wear along the bottom edge. “8” is written in black marker on the top of the red grip tape knob, which is cut along the back edge above the black tape wrapped around the bottom. A Gr8 autographed Ovi gamer from a Gr8 season!
