Hull and Oates -- it all started when playmaker Adam Oates wore this photo-matched St. Louis Blues home gamer in 1989-90, his first season after coming over from Detroit. The play-making centerman had 23 goals and 79 assists as he clicked with 72-goal scorer Brett Hull for his first of four 100-point seasons. Featuring a “DK” shamrock patch in memory of broadcaster Dan Kelly on the left shoulder, this fantastic game-worn jersey from Oates’ first season with the Blues displays two distinctive diagonal marks below the below the blue-yellow-and-red band on the left sleeve that have been positively matched to an action photo of Oates wearing this jersey. The photo also shows black marks to the right of the number “12” in the proper area on the right sleeve. A Maska fly tag in the neck has “50” written in blue ink and fight strap is intact. Custom Crafted logo is screened in white on the rear left hem. Dried blood sits on the right shoulder and more great game use shows in a black mark on the back of the right shoulder, with lots more marks on both sleeves and the front of the jersey, particularly on the tail and below the alternate captain’s “A” sewn on the left breast. Board burns on both sleeves include unrepaired holes and red paint transfer. A great photo-matched gamer from the days when Hull and Oates teamed up to make sweet music in St. Louis!
