Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
This intriguing relic is one that even longtime puck collectors may not have ever seen or had a chance at and was manufactured by the “Victor” company. A thin line all the way around it reveals that the ancient puck is a two-piece affair. Our consignor reports that Victor merged with the Wright & Ditson company in 1918, helping to date the piece. It shows moderate use with chips around the front and back edges, but still displays well and is fun to hold while contemplating players passing and whacking it around more than 90 years ago!
