Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Peer into the past and see the faces of Original Six journeyman Leo Bourgault and his Hall of Fame teammates Sylvio Mantha, Howie Morenz, Aurèle Joliat, and coach Newsy Lalonde. Bourgault only played 67 games manning the blue line for Les Glorieux yet had a strong influence on local hockey. Following his retirement, he created a backyard rink, complete with flood lights, where he passed on his NHL skills to many kids. His son Leo Jr. continued that legacy in designing the Complexe Quatre Glaces in Brossard, Quebec. This vintage 8 1/2" x 11 1/2" Montreal Canadiens team photo taken by renowned Rice Studios sits in 9 3/4" x 12 3/4" wood frame. Comes with LOA from the family of Leo Bourgault.
