Hulking defenseman Ulf Samuelsson wore this distinctive yellow and blue #5 jersey while playing for Sweden at the world junior championships in the early 1980s. Samuelsson represented the Tre Kronor in three straight world junior tourneys from 1982-84. This heavy airknit creation has its original Tibas label sewn on the upper right sleeve as well as the manufacturer’s laundry instruction flag tag sewn into the inside right seam. A “V 65” patch is sewn onto the front of the left shoulder while a large sponsor’s patch was removed from the upper back. Team crest on the front and numbers on the back and sleeves are heat-pressed vinyl. No sizing is indicated though this great international gamer measures out to a substantial 48 or 50 to accommodate Ulf’s sizable frame. Red paint transfer appears on the front, back and both sleeves, and more really nice game use shows in black marks, including a few huge ones on the front tail. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
