Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Game-worn international hockey memorabilia from the personal collection of Summit Series competitor Alexander Martiniyuk includes a red Jofa helmet as well as the Soviet right wing’s shoulder pads. According to Martiniyuk, these Cooper shoulder pads are the ones he was wearing when he made his one appearance for the U.S.S.R. during the 1972 Canada-Russia series. He has added the number “29” he wore for the CCCP during the Summit Series to his smudged black marker autograph on the right side of his 1980s Jofa game-worn lid which has #15 decals on the back. An original Russian language Summit Series program is almost complete torn along the spine though intact and complete despite being preserved in less-than-ideal condition. Also included is Martiniyuk’s modern replica tie-neck CCCP jersey which he has signed in black marker on the numbers on the back. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
