Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Outstanding vintage Sher-Wood game-used stick was wielded by Brad Park during the 1972 Canada-Russia series. A “June 30 1972” date stamp is clear to see on the back of the shaft of this Team Canada 1972 beauty. This rare Summit Series gamer retains the HOF defenseman’s tape jobs on the knob and blade and has been preserved in great crack-free and solid condition! Fascinating and highly desirable Team Canada 1972 game-used sticks were collected direct from the stick rack immediately after the powerhouse team of NHL greats played the last of their four games on home soil in Vancouver. These remarkable and historic Summit Series game-used hockey sticks were obtained by someone associated with Team Canada 1972 after the game at Pacific Coliseum on September 8th. This is a truly rare and unique opportunity to bid on Team Canada 1972 hockey memorabilia that saw active duty during the Summit Series.
