Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
A big flowing pencil autograph of “The Big Train”, Canadian sports legend Lionel Conacher, highlights this cut page, actually from a Boston Garden program, with fellow Hall-of-Famer Hooley Smith signing in fountain pen just above the image of a packed Garden. Bold black ink signatures were penned by Jimmy Ward and “Earle” Robinson, with Russell Blinco’s blue-ish ink autograph and Herbie Cain’s pencil job also top-notch. The last half of Stew Evans’ sig is notably weak. Dimensions of the intriguing piece are 7” by 8-1/2”. The seven men all contributed to the Maroons’ Stanley Cup title in 1934-35.
