Examples of hockey legend Jacques Plante’s original autograph are always a prized find, which makes this vintage 1949 letter in the goaltending legend’s own handwriting that much more special! Written in French in black fountain pen ink with a nice, clean signature, this four-page letter is dated December 24, 1949 and addressed to a Mr. J.E. Dion at the offices of Quebec City’s le Soleil newspaper. In the letter, Plante points out a correction to the journalist among other details of his pre-NHL hockey exploits in Shawinigan and with the Quebec Citadelles, signing off with his Montreal address. This fascinating 8” x 5” handwritten Jacques Plante letter is nicely preserved and a unique addition to your autographs/hockey documents collection.
