Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011

This Patrick Roy game-used Victoriaville stick dates back to the height of St. Patrick’s dominance as the NHL's top goalie and displays noble battle scars. Roy placed a dedicated blue marker autograph on the bottom of the front paddle, which is cracked along the top edge where it absorbed two powerful slap shot blows that both left puck marks! "P. Roy" stamped on the handle is displayed immediately below Roy’s massive white tape knob. The uncracked blade also retains Roy’s white tape job, which displays a nice puck gouge on the front of this stick, a typical example used by the HOF goalie during the early-1990s when he pretty much owned the Vezina and Jennings trophies, finishing runner-up in Hart voting in 1992. With red goalpost paint transfer displayed on it as well, this signed Roy Canadiens gamer took a few for the team and it lives on to tell the tale!
