Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Oh, to go back in time and load up on Howie Morenz iron-ons at three for a nickel! Nowadays, they only turn up once in a while, but three in their original glassine envelope – now this is one special opportunity that rarely comes along. They measure just over 3” by 7” and have survived in admirable condition. A little bit of cracking in the red of Howie’s jersey in two, with a printing line down the middle of the other. The “1902-1937” in red underneath Morenz’s name reveals that these treasures were produced to commemorate the icon’s all-too-short life, one in which he established himself as hockey’s most electrifying player, while winning the Hart Trophy as NHL MVP three times.
