Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011

Tanner’s “Beginner in Swimming” cards, earned when she was six years old in Belmont, California. Three green suits date back to Tanner’s time with the Vancouver Dolphins from the late-1950s to the suit she wore on her African tour in 1967. The crest at the front of the smallest suit has detached but could be sewn back if desires. Another suit has an embroidered “Elaine” patch sewn on. As one would expect from swimsuits worn by an Olympic medalist, they all show signs of wear and some staining. Accompanying photos show Tanner wearing these suits. There is also a sweatshirt from the Vancouver Dolphin”s with an “Elaine” patch. Two hats festooned with collectible souvenir pins, including rare collectors pins from all over the world on them, and a child’s hats adorned with a felt frog complete this historic offering. With LOA from Tanner.
