Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011

Luc Robitaille’s personal rookie and star card collection is highlighted by an EX-MT+ 64-65 Topps card of Bobby Hull, the man Robitaille passed as hockey’s most prolific goal-scoring left winger. Two other 1960s Hull cards are low grade and followed chronologically by RCs of Esposito (EX+), Cournoyer (EX) and Parent (VG Topps). Best of the rest are ’69-70 Orr All-Star (EX+), ’72-73 Topps Lafleur (EX), 77-78 WHA #1-Howe (EX-MT) and rookie cards in near mint-or-better of Roy (OPC), Bossy, Bourque and Hull (all Topps), as well as similarly nice OPC RCs of Neely, Lafontaine, Chelios and MacInnis. A blank-back Roy RC and 18 others in EX-or-lower grades complete the booty, to be accompanied by Luc Robitaille’s signed LOA – cool!
