Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Luc C’s game-used equipment lot consists of four items from the Hall of Fame left winger’s second stint with the Los Angeles Kings in the late-1990s and early-2000s. From his personal collection, offered here are three pieces signed by Beliveau, including his game-used stick, game-worn hockey gloves and Kings practice jersey, as well as the bottom part of a pair of Robitaille’s game-worn hockey pants. Please refer to our website description for detailed information about the items in this lot. Comes with Luc Robitaille’s signed LOA. Robitaille has signed in black marker across his white tape job on the blade of his two-piece Inno 2000 game-used stick. “Robitaille” is stamped on the shaft, which is upside down as a result of how the blade was attached. “Robitaille” is stamped on the top of the blade insert and “1999” is written in black marker on the back. Robitaille’s no. “20” is written in black marker on his white tape job on the knob. This gamer has a couple of bands of tape residue on the shaft, likely where it was bundled with other sticks. Robitaille has signed in black marker on both cuffs of his well-worn Louisville game-used gloves. A long and wide swath of felt tape is a customization that remains inside the right glove, while the left glove has wear holes through the lining in three places inside the cuff down to the white foam and/or plastic. The palms of both gloves are hole-free and display lighter wear than the front of the gloves, with the right one particularly exhibiting rough game wear on the outside front edge. Robitaille has signed in black marker on his white Kings Center Ice practice jersey, which has CCM and size 56 fly tags in the neck and an intact fight strap. Also included is the bottom part of Robitaille’s CCM hockey pants which have the NHL crest sewn on the back of the right pant leg and display lots of game use, including a small wear hole on the left thigh, and rust marks in the buttonholes.[red] Addendum : Please note that the items are signed by Luc Robitaille and not Beliveau as mentionned in our auction catalogue.[/red]
