This classic 1971 Allan Cup championship gold ring was presented to Norm Defelice. A recently retired veteran goalie, Defelice - who had a 10-game stint with the Boston Bruins when Terry Sawchuk was hospitalized during the 1956-57 season - coached the OHA Senior A champion Galt Hornets up to the 1971 Allan Cup Eastern Playdowns semi-final, a 3-1 series win over Thunder Bay. The Hornets went on to beat Grand Falls in the East final and Defelice was awarded this championship ring after Galt hosted the Allan Cup final and swept the Calgary Stampeders in four straight to win the Cup for the second time in three seasons. Delightful gold creation features a blue stone set in the face with "Allan Cup Champions" in now-smoothed raised gold surrounding it on the bezel. Images of the Allan Cup grace both shanks, with "19" in raised gold below it on the left shank, and "72" in the same place on the right shank. Size 6 1/2 ring has "10K" stamped inside the band. This 1971 Allan Cup championship ring comes along with an LOA.
